Rue has been in private practice since 1986 as an Intuitive Mentor/Life Path Coach using what she describes as "profoundly light-hearted strategies for unsticking stuck stuff." She is located in Boulder, Colorado.

As an EFT Master, Rue has extensive experience with fibromyalgia, chronic physical and emotional pain, abuse, trauma, and working with the issues that arise in a highly sensitive person. She believes that anyone with a chronic condition probably has a sensitive temperament. She is also very interested in using EFT to transform the "emotional inheritance" that is passed through generations in a family, showing up in our limiting beliefs, behaviors and symptoms. A former university teacher, over the years she has sought out broad and deep training in psycho-spiritual philosophy and therapies. From 1974-1981, she was a staff member of the Findhorn Foundation, an international center for spiritual and holistic education in Scotland.

Rue says:

"EFT is an ideal tool for opening us to Spiritual Freedom. I am not talking about religion here, as in churches and temples and mosques. Spiritual Freedom comes down to the second half of the EFT equation: I deeply and completely love and accept myself. Imagine the changes in the world that would emerge if this statement were the natural internal self talk of everyone everywhere! The most profound application of EFT helps us to re-shape ourselves at the deepest level of identity so that our true spiritual energy can flow free.

"Thinking about Spiritual Freedom leads me to the kinds of questions I might ask someone that I am working with:

Do you feel constricted in your life?
Do you feel the weight of all the should's on your shoulders?
Do you sometimes wish, "If only I could be who I really am..."

Do you ever get the sense that you are trying to pretend not to be who you really are?

And... don't you wish you had access to your own guidance and wisdom, instead of seeking truth about yourself from other people or sources?

"I have always felt deeply challenged to learn about my own spiritual truth, independent of what other people said were the prerequisites for spiritual progress. I experience the empowerment of spirituality as support for our ordinary lives in the world, finding the sacred in the personal, not just the transpersonal.

"In my work with EFT, this translates into exploring and transforming the source of the ‘not enough and don’t deserve’ self-judgments in human consciousness, and into trusting our bodies and emotions as our intuitive guidance. I think of myself as a Wise Woman in (perpetual) Training, seasoned with a grounded thoughtfulness and a quirky sense of humor."
