Daniel Kobialka is a world-renowned composer who combines modern and classic orchestrations to produce music that is perfect for inspiration, relaxation and healing. His albums are often used by listeners for stress management, massage, yoga and creating a peaceful atmosphere at home.
Daniel Kobialka has been an accomplished performer since an early age. His father played violin with the Stradivarius String Quartet and his home was constantly filled with the music of Beethoven, Bach and Mozart. At age 15, he made his concert debut at Carnegie Hall and regularly appeared as a soloist with the Boston Symphony Orchestra thereafter. He performed with the San Francisco Symphony for over 2 decades. During this time, he became the founding concertmaster and soloist for San Francisco’s Midsummer Mozart Festival Orchestra.
At the center of Kobialka’s focus is the power of music in complementary and alternative medicine. For the past 25 years, he has traveled the world leading seminars and workshops on the benefits of his relaxing music. In 2002, he performed for the International Holistic Health Association at the Global Holistic Health Summit in Bangalore, India. The Japanese Ministry of Health further encouraged his efforts by awarding him a grant to study and evaluate the health benefits of their traditional music. He has continued by recording music for health and guidance with leading wellness pioneers, including Dr. Joan Borysenko, Dr. Bernie Siegel and Dr. Susan Mandel.
A graduate of the Hartt College of Music, University of Hartford, Kobialka received his Masters degree and Doctorate of Musical Arts from Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. His contributions to education over the past four decades have given him professorships at Catholic University of America, California State Universities of San Francisco and Hayward, The San Francisco Conservatory of Music, Mills College and The University of California at Berkeley.
