Carol "Libby" Adams, PhD, DD, is the Founder and current President of the International Academy of Self-Knowledge. She is a highly skilled presenter and educator, having taught for many years in the public school system. She is a Master Practitioner of Neuro-Linguistic-Programming and the developer of of Transformational Meditation a technique she has used successfully with hundreds of students in the 18 years since its inception.
Dr. Adams has served on the volunteer staffs of Tony Robins, Tad James, PhD, and Deepak Chopra, MD. She has also completed Dr. Albert Ellis™ Certification Course in Addiction Counseling. Dr. Adams serves as President of the University of Integrative Learning where she received her Doctor of Divinity degree. She is also recent past President of the Association for the Integration of the Whole Person and current President of the AIWP Board of Directors.
Dr. Adams is a popular guest lecturer at Cal-State Long Beach, speaking on the topic of meditation. She is co-instructor with renowned trading coach Dr. Van Tharp at his Advanced Peak Performance 202 workshop. In 1999, she was voted Member of the Year in the Women's Council of the Long Beach Camber of Commerce and received a certificate from California Senator Betty Karnette in recognition of her commitment to community service and dedication to the promotion of women in business.
Libby is actively involved in teaching IASK's upper level courses as well as developing and refining IASK's courses and techniques. She also acts as consultant and mentor to the Academy's teachers in their instruction and facilitation of Transformational Meditation
